What to ask before moving in with a pet
- Get the owner's permission in writing in the lease: which animal, how many and what size.
- Ask the condominium juristic person whether the building rules allow pets. Even if the owner agrees, a building that bans pets can warn or fine the tenant.
- Ask about an extra deposit. Some owners ask for more, and may deduct cleaning or repairs to floors and curtains when you move out.
- Check the common areas: which lift pets may use, where to walk them, and the rules for crossing the lobby.
If you can't find a condo
Townhouses and houses usually accept pets more easily and give more space for a similar rent. See Family Rentals in Bangkok: 2–3 Bedroom Condos and Houses, or type "pets allowed" into the DooAsset search box.
