Summary
DooAsset uses essential cookies only. Visitors get 1 cookie, theme (remembers light or dark mode, kept for 1 year); the other 2 cookies are used only by our staff in the back office. Google Analytics 4 runs only after you accept it, there are no advertising cookies, and your saved listings are stored in your browser, not sent to us.

01WHAT ARE COOKIES
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser to remember your choices or whether you are signed in. Besides cookies, this website also uses your browser’s storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), which stays on your device and is never sent to our server.
02COOKIES WE USE
2. Cookies we use
Every item is a cookie on the dooasset.com domain (first-party). The first 3 are essential; the last 2 belong to Google Analytics 4 and are only set after you press “Accept”.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
theme | Remembers the light or dark mode you chose, so the page doesn’t flash | 1 year |
doo_session | Keeps staff signed in; used on /admin/ pages only | Until you close the browser, or 14 days with “remember me” |
doo_flash | Shows the result message after staff save something in the back office | 2 minutes |
_ga | Google Analytics 4 tells visitors apart (only after you accept) | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics 4 counts each visit (only after you accept) | 2 years |
03BROWSER STORAGE
3. Data stored in your browser
This data stays on your device only. We cannot see it and never receive it.
- da:saved (localStorage)
- The listings you saved with the heart button. It stays until you remove them or clear the site data in your browser.
- da:view (sessionStorage)
- Remembers whether you view search results as a list or a map. It is deleted when you close the tab.
- da:recent (localStorage)
- Your last 6 searches in the search panel, so you can run one again with a tap. It stays until you clear the site data in your browser.
- doo_consent (localStorage)
- Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we don’t ask on every page.
04ANALYTICS · ADS
4. Analytics and advertising cookies
DooAsset uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and the pages people read, so we can improve the website. It only loads and sends data to Google after you press “Accept” on the consent bar; if you press “No thanks”, nothing is sent. Google signals are off and we do not use this data for advertising. The website uses no advertising pixels or advertising cookies.
05MANAGE COOKIES
5. How to manage cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. This is what happens when you do.
- Delete the theme cookie and the site goes back to light mode
- Clear the site data and your saved listings disappear
- Block all cookies and you can still browse listings and send forms as usual
- Staff need the doo_session cookie to sign in to the back office
- Withdraw consent to analytics cookies with the “Change my choice” button above, then delete the _ga cookies in your browser
06CONTACT
6. Questions about cookies

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about our cookie policy
Do I have to accept cookies to use the website?
No. Press “No thanks” and everything on the website still works. Essential cookies don’t need consent under the PDPA. Google Analytics 4 only runs after you accept it on the consent bar.
Are my saved listings sent to DooAsset?
No. Saved listings are kept only in your browser’s localStorage. If you switch devices or clear the site data, the list won’t come with you.
