DooAsset lists condos, houses and townhouses to rent or buy in Bangkok, in Thai and English. This page says where the listings come from, what we add to them and what we check.
D'où proviennent les annonces sur DooAsset ?
Most listings are units managed by a real estate agency we partner with; we publish them with figures DooAsset calculates itself. The rest come straight from owners who list their property with us.
The price, size, floor, bedrooms and photos come from the listing's source. The description and answers on each listing are written by our system from those facts, never copied from another website.
What does DooAsset add to each listing?
Every listing page shows the price per square metre, the walking distance to the nearest rail station and an estimate of the money needed on contract day.
Price comparisons use the median of available listings on DooAsset. When there are too few similar units, the partner's market data is used instead, and the line under the figure always says which. Every rule is on the How We Calculate page.
How do we check that a unit is still available?
Our system reads the status of every partner listing from its source every day. Units that are rented, sold or removed leave the search results and every number.
The status label on a listing shows the date availability was last confirmed. After 30 days it changes colour to say you should ask first, and when you book a viewing we check with the owner or partner again before confirming the time.
What should you check yourself before paying?
The information on the site helps you compare and shortlist; it is not a contract. Before you transfer a deposit or sign, view the unit, check the owner's title deed or lease, ask about the building's rules and get every cost in writing.
How are the news stories and guides made?
News stories and guides are written by DooAsset's automated system. Every news story lists its sources with links in the "Sources" box and never copies text from a news outlet.
Before publishing, each fact must be confirmed by an official source or by at least 2 news outlets that report the same thing, every figure must appear in a cited source or in listings on DooAsset, and the system checks this again automatically. Some news cover images are simulated illustrations made for the story, not photos of the actual event.
The Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, German, French, Burmese and Spanish pages are translated automatically from the English pages.
